Andrea Bergia began her legal career practicing real estate and business litigation, where she gained extensive experience in motion practice and trials before the court. Her specialties included general civil contract claims, construction defects, landlord-tenant issues and DTPA claims. Andrea is client focused and found her true passion as an attorney helping people navigate the stress and emotion of the legal process, ultimately leading her to the practice of family law. Andrea honed her family law skills working closely with Becky Beaver and Lisa Danley for five years at the Law Office of Becky Beaver. She has first-chair experience in both complex property division cases and child custody matters. She handles all aspects of litigation, and she works hard to achieve the best possible results for her clients through compassionate representation.
A West Texas native, Andrea moved to Austin in 2002 to attend the University of Texas, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in government. She went on to attend the University of Texas School of Law, earning her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree with honors in 2010. After law school, Andrea served as the staff attorney to Judges Eric Shepperd and David Phillips in the Travis County Courts at Law Nos. 1 and 2 before joining a private litigation practice in 2013.
Outside of the office and courtroom, Andrea enjoys yoga, hiking and swimming on the Greenbelt and taking advantage of the many other outdoor activities available in the Austin area.
